Andor – BBY 4

Cassian piloting tie fighter - BBY 4

Directed by: Ariel Kleiman

Episode 1: One Year Later – 50 min
Episode 2: Sagrona Teema – 44 min
Episode 3: Harvest – 53 min

Since we are getting episodes of Andor three at a time, these posts will cover all three and be titled based on their BBY dates. If you are unfamiliar with how dating works in Star Wars, everything is based on “Before Battle of Yavin” (i.e. before A New Hope). The first three episodes of Season 2 occur one year after Season 1 and four years before A New Hope/Rogue One.

I should warn you now that every post will contain spoilers, so I advise watching all three episodes before you continue reading.

Star Wars Celebration Japan Recap

Another Celebration is in the books and we had some great reveals. If you paid attention this past weekend then you probably know everything I will cover in this Star Wars Celebration Japan recap. If you didn’t, then keep reading.

On second thought, if you did pay attention, please read it anyway and post anything I left out.

Sadly, I did not go to the actual event. It just wasn’t an affordable trip for me, however, I did watch several of the interviews and kept tabs on my favorite Star Wars content creators who were there.

Trailers: Thunderbolts* Final Trailer

It’s a busy week. The start of Star Wars Celebration begins tonight and we have two new Marvel trailers this week. Here is the final trailer for Marvel’s Thunderbolts* coming out in a few weeks on May 2nd.

I’m glad I saw this trailer after the Fantastic Four First Steps trailer. There is significantly more energy coming from this trailer and I’m far more compelled to see this movie in the theater.

I don’t really have much to say about this trailer. The villain appears to be “The Void” or Dark Sentry, which I know nothing about. A quick Google search told me he (or it) is a dark force that tries to take out the “New Avengers” and even spars with the Fantastic Four and Doctor Strange. Perhaps this explains why we are also getting the Fantastic Four movie this year as well.

If you are savvy in Marvel canon please feel free to enlighten me more on The Void/Dark Sentry.

Trailers: Fantastic Four First Steps Official Trailer

The official trailer for Fantastic Four First Steps dropped today. Take a look.

It doesn’t look bad. I’m a little more interested in the film from this trailer than I was by the teaser trailer. We do get a couple of confirmations. Sue Storm is pregnant, which will be the first time Franklin Richards will appear in live action.

We also get confirmation that Shalla-Bal is the Silver Surfer and we get our first look of her as the hearld of Galactus. As I mentioned in the teaser trailer post, she is the lover/wife of Norrin Radd, whom we saw as the Silver Surfer in the first iteration of the Fantastic Four films. (We don’t talk about the one in 2015.)

While I will remain cautiously optimisitc, I’m not quite ready to run to the theater to see it. I’ll probably wait a while to see how it’s received by Marvel fans and audiances and that’s just out of sheer curiosity. Negative or positive, I’ll still see the film but it’ll ultimately boil down to theater or streaming service.

What did you think?

Star Wars Celebration 2025

Star Wars Celebration 2025 Japan

Star Wars Celebration 2025 in Japan is this weekend, and I’m feeling pretty excited. I wish I could be there because Japan would be a fun country to visit, but my pocketbook just couldn’t justify it. There are a lot of projects in the works right now, and I hope we will get some updates on them. Hopefully, it’s more than just the immediate projects we already know are coming (i.e. Andor Season 2, which starts next week on the 22nd).

I hope we get some update on the second and, I assume, final season of Ahsoka. Maybe even a teaser trailer?? I’m pretty sure the Mandalorian & Grogu movie is in post-production, so maybe we will get a teaser of that as well. It would be great if they laid out the release schedule of all the films and shows we know are coming.

I’m not expecting them to announce anything new. The focus is probably going to be primarily on Andor Season 2.

You can count on the fact that I will share any trailers and announcements right here. Granted, it is Easter weekend, so I will be a little busy, especially on Sunday, but I will do my best to stay up to date.

What projects are you excited to hear about?

Comedy Month (2025) – I Love the 80s

You either think the 1980s was a great era for comedy movies, or you’re wrong. Especially the comedies of the mid-to-late 80s. It’s mostly thanks to John Hughes (RIP), the king of feel-good 80s and 90s films, and John Candy (RIP).

For Comedy Month (2025) I picked a couple of my favorite John Candy and Tom Hanks 80s comedy movies and threw in a Richard Pryor film. Watching these movies has me missing John Candy. There will never be anyone comparable to that man. The same goes for John Hughes.

With that said, here is the list for Comedy Month (2025), most of which are probably among my favorites from the 80s.
