In a few weeks, the 11.2 patch will drop for The War Within, heralding the final season of this expansion. Therefore, it’s time for a quick State of the Raid update for Season 2.
The raid team remains a formidable killing machine. We have cleared Heroic Liberation of Undermine twice, thus securing our Ahead of the Curve achievement for all the raiders. We’ve also been running a few alt raids, which have been very fruitful and a nice change of pace. We also decided to complete the Glory of the Raider achievements for both raids in this expansion, which we haven’t done since Legion.
Now we are all taking a well-earned break from raiding to just farm mounts and mythics. I think some of us are going out to touch some grass (i.e., going on vacation).
Other End Game Content and Alts
I’ve barely set foot in Mythic+ dungeons. In the past, we ran Mythic+ dungeons to improve our gear for the raid. Now that we can earn what we need from Tier 11 and Overcharged Delves, M+ dungeons are more of an extra-curricular activity. Or an activity for people who don’t want to raid, which was the original intention for the M+ system.
Will I ever return to Mythic+ dungeons? Maybe. I do enjoy earning mounts, and you only need a 2k score for the Keystone Master achievement (which awards a mount). We’ll see. It’s not been easy setting aside the extra time with other things going on in life.

Delves, on the other hand, I’ve been running those a lot. You can get a couple done in less time than it takes to complete a Mythic+ dungeon (if you’re efficient).
I’ve also been leveling, and all 22 toons are now at max level. The Collector’s Bounty has also been keeping me busy farming those mounts I’ve been trying to collect for a long time. I have collected over 80 mounts so far this expansion, but it will be challenging to surpass the 154 I collected in Dragonflight. The event lasts until the end of July, so I hope to collect a few more that I’ve been hunting for years.
Next up, Dimensius.
