Camel - Hump Day!

It’s time for a gaming update. We are on the brink of the first major content patch for The War Within, 11.1. I always like to briefly update you on how things are going from a raid perspective and other WoW activities like Mythic+ and leveling.

The team defeated Heroic Queen Ansurek for the first time on December 12th, thus receiving the Ahead of the Curve for 11.0. We even managed to do it a second time for anyone absent for the first kill. We did a few alt runs and a rather interesting team celebration on Moonguard (IYKYK). After that, we decided to take a little break from raiding until the 11.1 patch.

Mythic+, Delves, and Alts

In the meantime, I’ve been focusing on getting alts leveled and through the initial campaign. This feels like a longer gap between content updates than in past expansions. So much so that I’ve leveled 12 characters through story mode before the next patch.

Professions seem to be going a little faster than the last expansion but they still feel like a grind. The amount of special ingredients to level some of them is a little difficult to come by unless you want to spend gold, which I may end up doing. When I finish leveling the rest of my alts, professions will be the main focus.

Delves are the best feature of this expansion. Gearing up for raids or gearing up alts has never been faster. You can unlock a slot in the vault in less than a half hour just by completing a couple of delves. Gearing up using delves is far more lucrative than running Mythic+ dungeons.

Mount reward for Season 1 Keystone Master

On the subject of Mythic+ dungeons, I started late in the season; and by “late” I mean three weeks before it ended. I only wanted to do Mythic+ to try to get the mount from the Keystone Master achievement. The odds are stacked against me. Given the late start and the difficulty of the dungeons, it is likely that I will not achieve KSM for season one. The Mythic+ dungeons have been extremely punishing and, therefore, demoralizing. It seems Blizzard is receiving many complaints about this very thing and is making adjustments for Season Two.

I think that’s all for now. Bring on Gallywix!

If zombies attack the world, everyone will run and hide. Except for us gamers, of course. We’ve been waiting for this all our lives!
