Issue 44
Greetings again, Gamers. There isn’t much to talk about this week, I think because we are on the verge of a very exciting week next week. The Pre-Mists of Pandaria content patch (5.0.4) comes out next week and I believe the next content update for The Secret World is also happening next week.
Oh yea, and there is that Guild Wars 2 release 🙂
I know many have been chomping at the bit waiting for the release of this game. I hope it lives up to everyone’s expectations, though I’m sure there will be a brood of haters that seems to spawn with every new release. I hope it doesn’t ruin the game or the experience. If you are playing and visit often I encourage you to post your thoughts, just give me a buzz. All right, here is a short, but sweet, list of recent news and tidings. Read on and game on friends!
MechWarrior Online’s River City
Posted 8/24/12 – Piranha Games teases us some more with a trailer for the River City zone in MechWarrior Online. There is just something invigorating and awesome about rampaging through a city in a huge mech, blowing things up and destroying buildings. New TERA Patch Launches
Posted 8/21/12 – The newest content patch for TERA, named The Argon Queen, has gone live. The patch includes new dungeons, PvP, raids and more. Apparently the gear requirement to face off against The Argon Queen is going to be quite high so with this patch players will be able receive buffs and a drop rate increase on goodies to help them prepare. New Marvel Heroes Screens and Models
Posted 8/21/12 – Gazillion has released some new in-game footage and character models for its upcoming Marvel Heroes MMO. It looks like, to me, that this game is going to be very similar to Diablo III. It doesn’t look like you get to create your specific toon, like the MMORPG model, but more like you pick a class and play that character just as you do in Diablo III. Currency Changes Up-To-And-Including MoP
Posted 8/21/12 – I know I don’t usually post these minor articles for specific MMOs but I felt that perhaps this is one of those things that will go unnoticed by a lot of people. Then when they are expecting valor or conquest points after the pre-Mists patch and instead they are exclaiming “WTF?!?” This is a new mechanism for Blizzard regarding the handling of badge currency. I don’t think we have ever had an entire month when we couldn’t earn valor/conquest. Follow the link to read the blue post.

Three New Classes Coming Soon to Aion
Posted 8/17/12 – At Gamescom NCSoft announced that in the next big content update for Aion, 4.0, Daevas will now have the choice of three new classes. NCSoft did not elaborate on what these new classes will be, in fact they are keeping pretty tight-lipped about it, but I’m sure it will have Aion gamers in a frenzy. Follow the link to read more.
