Sadly, within the past week, we lost the irreplaceable and amazing Carl Weathers. I’ve been trying to do more posts from this series and I will try to do more in the future. In light of Carl Weather’s passing and given that it’s Black History Month, I think he is a good place to start in 2024. How much do you know about Carl Weathers?

He was born in New Orleans in 1948. Little is known about his parents; his father was a hard-working day laborer; even less is known about his mother. He was a very athletic person, playing numerous sports in high school.

The Ahsoka series has me really digging Ray Stevenson’s character, Baylan Skoll. Unfortunately, we lost Ray back in May of this year (2023). In my opinion, he left on an incredibly high note. This is an unusual topic for a “How Much Do You Know” but this one is interesting. I recently watched Episode 1 as part of my Star Wars marathon for Star Wars month. The music in Star Wars is, undoubtedly some of the best music in cinema. John Williams is a legend. The origin of this track from The Phantom Menace score is really cool. The Acolyte

On Day 1 of the Star Wars Celebration the cast of The Acolyte seem to receive the most attention. There were nine cast members across four interviews. All of these interviews can be seen on the Star Wars YouTube channel. Most of these folks are fairly unknown; a couple of these names might stand out. How much do you know about The Acolyte cast?

Carrie-Anne Moss is listed on the IMDB page but she was not interviewed. If you don’t recognize her name, you will recognize her face as Trinity from The Matrix movies.

I’ll try my best to keep this post from getting too verbose. I’ll try to follow a format similar to the voice dubbing post I did a couple of years ago. We do not know most of the names of any of these characters from The Acolyte.

Since The Mandalorian is back and (already) half way through the third season, let’s talk about Katee Sackhoff. She is one of my favorite science fiction actresses. I’ve seen quite a few of her other shows; perhaps you have too.

Of course, in Star Wars, she is Bo-Katan Kryze in The Mandalorian. Actually, she’s been the voice of Bo-Katan since 2012 when the character first appeared in the fourteenth episode in season four of The Clone Wars (“A Friend in Need“). Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian in Solo

This is another series I’m hoping to resurrect. I haven’t done one of these since May of 2022. After watching Community (again) recently I decided Donald Glover is an excellent choice for the revival, especially given that it’s Black History Month. Donald Glover portrayed young Lando Calrissian in Solo: A Star Wars Story. He does an amazing job and I really, really hope he reprises the role if Disney is truly making a Lando series. (Although it looks like this project is no longer happening, bummer.) Be that as it may, how much do you know about Donald Glover?
