Ahsoka Season Two Teaser Trailer

Yes, I know I am a day late posting this trailer. It’s the start of the school year, and getting certain people ready for a new school and the next grade comes with its challenges. ICYMI, the teaser trailer for Ahsoka Season 2 was released at D23 this past weekend. Take a look …

I’m excited to see Hayden Christensen back as Anakin Skywalker. He hasn’t had a role outside of Star Wars since 2019. Maybe he’s decided to embrace the typecast and will live out the rest of his career as live-action Anakin. The fans would love that; I know I would.

Of course, we will not see Ray Stevenson. He joined the Force shortly before the release of the first season, and it’s a shame. However, Rory McCann has been cast in the role. McCann is known for bringing George R. R. Martin’s “The Hound” to life in the Game of Thrones HBO series. I wonder if Filoni will do something to pay homage to him in this season.

The trailer leaves me with giggles and goosebumps, and I can’t wait to see it upon its release. Will we see more about the Mortis gods in live action? If you don’t know what I’m talking about, then you should probably go watch The Clone Wars, specifically season three episodes 15, 16, & 17.

Season 2 will be out January 20th, 2027 on Disney+

Final Thoughts and Theories on Ahsoka

I’m going to start off by saying that I really do enjoy this series. People often ask me what my favorite Disney+ Star Wars series is, which is always difficult to answer. There are many things to consider when making that decision. I’m not particularly eager to rank Star Wars movies or series. I will watch all of them multiple times throughout the year. I enjoy them all and each for different reasons.

That being said, in terms of acting, writing, world-building, and character development, Andor easily wins out. It’s probably the best in the franchise. However, the series I connect with the most are Ahsoka and Kenobi.

Ahsoka Part Eight

Ahsoka Part Eight Ezra

Title: The Jedi, the Witch and the Warlord
Directed By: Rick Famuyiwa
Runtime: 48 minutes

I can’t believe we are already at the (season one) finale! It has been an incredible journey and I’m looking forward to more (please let there be a season two). I will probably write a separate post that wraps up my thoughts and feelings on this series but, in the meantime, let’s talk about Ahsoka Part Eight.

The director is no stranger to the Star Wars franchise. Rick Famuyiwa has directed several excellent episodes of The Mandalorian. He does another fantastic job on this finale.

With time running out, Ahsoka, Ezra, and Sabine must race to try to stop Thrawn from returning to the home galaxy. Is Thrawn prepared to face Anakin’s former padawan?

Ahsoka Part Seven

Title: Dreams and Madness
Directed By: Geeta Vasant Patel
Runtime: 45 minutes

This is the penultimate episode of the season. I don’t know how much preamble I can provide. Geeta Vasant Patel is a new director to the franchise. I don’t recognize much of her other work but I think she did a great job on Ahsoka Part Seven.

Of course, we should start with a quick recap. Thrawn has completed his preparations for his return to the home galaxy. Ahsoka arrives at Peridea with a trap waiting for her. Shin and Baylan’s alliance with the bandits makes trouble for Ezra and Sabine.

Ahsoka Part Six

Peridea

Title: Far, Far Away
Directed By: Jennifer Getzinger
Runtime: 48 minutes

How do you follow up on an episode like the one we saw last week? I do not expect another “banger” of an episode this week. In fact, with only three episodes left in this season, this episode’s purpose is to set up the final two. Here are my thoughts on Ahsoka Part Six.

First, we have a new director. Jennifer Getzinger is known for directing various episodes of Mad Men, Agent Carter, Daredevil, and Jessica Jones (to name a few). I think she does an excellent job in this episode.

Ahsoka Part Five

Ahsoka Part Five

Title: Shadow Warrior
Directed By: Dave Filoni
Runtime: 51 minutes

We are past the halfway point. It’s fitting that the director for the episode that follows the mid-season episode is the man himself. The two words that have been echoing in our minds since last week, “Hey Snips”, will finally have context. Let’s talk about Ahsoka Part Five.

Favorite episode! I want to put that episode on repeat and watch it all day! It isn’t just Dave Filoni who gives us all the feelings but Kevin Kiner’s score as well! Let’s quickly recap.
