Title: Fallen Jedi
Directed By: Peter Ramsey
Runtime: 40 min
This is the halfway point which means the climax of Act II. You can expect a major cliffhanger at the end of this episode. There will also be no more spoiler warnings from here on out. I’m going to assume you have been watching before reading and if you haven’t caught up then I’m not sure why you’re reading. Let’s recap and talk about Ahsoka Part Four.
Ahsoka, Sabine, and Huyang are stranded on Seatos. The enemy is on the brink of success and the New Republic is not interested in helping. It’s up to Ahsoka and Sabine to stop them. Also, this is another amazing soundtrack by Kevin Kiner.
That Droid Can Fight!
We are going to start by talking about Huyang. The droid can fight! I cannot currently recall any time we have seen a droid engage in physical combat. It makes sense that he would have some knowledge of self-defense since he trains younglings in lightsaber construction and combat. How many of us were afraid we were going to lose Huyang in this episode?
The other fight sequences were great but my favorite is the duel between Ahsoka and Baylan. The more I see of Baylan the more I love this character, but that also makes me sad. Ray Stevenson’s passing is such a terrible loss because his character is so amazing.
Since the trailer debuted there was mass speculation about the identity of Marrok. In fact, it got pretty out of hand bordering on absurd. We discovered today that the identity of Marrok is … nobody. Probably a Morgan Elsbeth nightbrother manifestation. The nightsisters have the ability to reanimate the dead and that’s exactly what Marrok was. Personally, I’m glad it wasn’t Ezra, Barris, or Starkiller. He was a cool character and served his purpose well.
How About That Cliffhanger
Wow! Talk about a cliffhanger! I guess I was wrong. I really did not expect Filoni to incorporate the World Between Worlds. All of you sequel haters out there, clean out your panties because we are NOT getting a “sequel rewrite”. The World Between Worlds does not alter events in the sense that you want it to.
The real question is, how did Ahsoka get into the World Between Worlds? I like a theory I saw on Twitter/X. Anakin saves her just like Ezra did in Rebels. I’m curious what happens next. Is this a final lesson by Anakin? Will we see a fight or sparring sequence between the former master and apprentice?
We finally get to see live-action Ghost and she looks magnificent! It’s also exciting to see Carson Teva make an appearance but where in blazes is Zeb?!
What did you think of Ahsoka Part Four?
