Possible Ghost In The Shell MMO in 2014
Posted 2/14/13 – Sometimes when an MMO meets anime, somewhere a geek squeals! I’m a huge fan of both and while I haven’t watched a lot of Ghost in the Shell, I’m familiar with the plot so a FPS MMO might be pretty interesting. There isn’t a lot of details about it right now but the article could, perhaps, wet your appetite.

Latest MMO Hall of Famers
Posted 2/12/13 – I didn’t know there was an MMO Hall of Fame but I’m not surprised that there is one. I know this isn’t a normal thing to include in these issues because its mostly about what new things are happening to our games but I think its kinda cool. Some of the latest inductees were Runescape and (the late) City of Heroes. You’ll find a link not only to the Gamasutra website announcing the inductees but also a link to the MMO Hall of Fame website itself. Enjoy.

WoW Patch 5.2 Release Coming Soon [Update]
Posted 2/11/13 – For those of you that are playing through the new WoW expansion and if you are anxiously awaiting the new features coming in patch 5.2, your wait will end shortly. Blizzard announced that you can expect the 5.2 patch to be out the last week in February. Granted nearly every MMO patch announcement this year has been postponed for one reason or another but Blizzard rarely misses a mark, and considering the background download has been activated, you can probably set your calendar. Are you ready for the next patch? [Update: A recent post from Blizzard implies it will probably the first week in March now].

SWTOR Patch 1.7 Going Live!
Posted 2/10/13 – The latest content patch for SWTOR (titled Relics of the Gree) went live this past Tuesday in an alleged 5-hour maintenance. The big components of this patch are the new reputation system and the new Gree live event. I have just started getting back into SWTOR but its been a slow acclimation. Perhaps this new patch will help reignite the game play. [
