Find the PandarenIssue 138: Greetings and welcome to 2016! Isn’t it funny to think that a little over 16 years ago we were all freaking out because Y2K was going to destroy the world? Silly humans. Oh, and speaking of silly humans, what is with the “find the panda” bit going around Facebook? I couldn’t resist using the above image from a World of Warcraft tweet.

I hope all of you had a great Christmas and didn’t kill to many brain cells on New Years Eve. 2016 is going to be a pretty big year for gaming, I think, especially if you are a fan of Blizzard titles; we are sure to see a couple of those this year.

I apologize if you are not really a fan of World of Warcraft because with Legion coming out this year you can imagine there will be several headlines pertaining to WoW in the upcoming issues. I will still attempt to keep the title diverse so other readers still have something interesting to read. For instance how about a post about Rise of the Tombraider coming to PC or new content news for SWTOR.

WoW: Valor Upgrades Ring

Posted 1.4.16 – Remember, last week, when you had to spend 20 weeks grinding Crystallized Fel to upgrade your legendary ring? Now you just need 1250 Valor. I’m glad I am a slacker, that means, when I finally get my damn ring, I won’t have to grind Archimonde to upgrade. Cool 😉

lara-rise-of-trRise of the Tombraider For PC

Posted 1.5.16 – If you have been waiting (probably rather impatiently) for Rise of the Tombraider to come to PC, you only have a wait a couple more weeks. January 28th you will be able to play it on your PC! As a predominately PC gamer, this is great news, however my XBox is hooked up to a 70″ television … hmm, I may stick with the 360 version.

Activision Blizzard Buys MLG

Posted 1.5.16 – I’m going to throw a little business news at you. As the headline states, Activision Blizzard simply bought out MLG as they continue to expand their eSports division. As the article discusses a few months back they created a new division and even hired some folks from ESPN and MLG. I guess they decided, “meh, lets just buy MLG”. An interesting move and perhaps exciting if you are a big eSports fan.

Diablo III Patch 2.4.0

Posted 7.8.16 – It looks like this patch is imminent. I don’t know if that means the coming Tuesday or not but these patch notes and video seem like odds are pretty good. 2.4.0 will bring players a new zone, expanded zones, set dungeons, new legendaries and other goodies. Players are aware that Season 5 is supposed to start January 15th, which is probably the best clue that its the coming reset.

Rumors of a Doom Reboot

Posted 7.9.16 – When I was growing up there were three computer games that were staples – Duke Nukem, Quake and Doom. Quake has probably run its course of sequels, culminating with Quake III Arena and most of aware of the sordid tale of the Duke Nukem sequel. A Doom reboot, using today’s UX technologies, would be pretty awesome; if its done right. Game Informer is taunting us.
