Issue 51: Greetings Gamers! I hope all of you, and your loved ones, are safe from Hurricane Sandy rampaging through the eastern seaboard. I imagine if you are on the east coast, and reading this, then you are in good shape. I think with Halloween this week and Sandy being the bigger story, there wasn’t too much to read about this past 10 days.
There is more RIFT expansion news, including the revelation of the Defiler soul. More beta news for RIFT and MechWarrior Online (which is due out February 1st). There is also the second, of three, new classes in Aion has been revealed, complete with a video; that’s definitely worth checking out. So stay safe, stay dry and keep on gaming!

Posted 10/28/12 – As November 13th approaches Trion teases players some more with additional reveals. This time its the new Defiler soul. Based on the description in the post it almost seems like this is like a warlock healing class. Follow the link and see what you think.

beta! MechWarrior Online Open Beta, For Realz
Posted 10/26/12 – On Monday, October 29th, MechWarrior Online’s open beta is officially available. If you recall this was suppose to happen a couple weeks ago but it was delayed because of some of the concerns noted in player feedback. While it can be annoying to have to postpone an open beta, I think its great that they did it because of concerns submitted by players in the closed beta. beta! RIFT: Storm Legion Open Beta Coming 11/2
Posted 10/25/12 – If you are a RIFT fan and you are looking forward to its first expansion, Storm Legion, then you are probably going to be pretty excited to learn that the open beta is coming. November 2nd-5th will be the final stress test before its release on the 13th. This expansion will have two new continents, seven new dungeons and three new raids as well as increasing the level cap to 60. Aion Gunslinger Video Preview
Posted 10/21/12 – Recently I posted a story about the new gunslinger class coming in Aion 4.0. Well now they have unveiled a game play video of this class. I have to say, it looks pretty sweet. The Smuggler is one of my favorite SWTOR classes and I think this class is a bit reminiscent of it but they have their own, sweet, twist. You will see what I mean about half way through the video.
