Greetings again, Gamers! Now that all the hype of Comic-Con is out of our systems we are all watching diligently for news of the next big titles. Granted Gamescom is coming up and there might be a few surprises for MMO gamers. I know everyone is also anxiously awaiting the final Batman movie (to begin at midnight tonight) so here are some articles to keep you occupied while you wait in the lines.
In this issue there is more news for those awaiting MechWarrior Online, more news about SWTOR despite all the vile hatred spewing from some gamers and MMO “pundits”, and the reviews are in for The Secret World. Read on gamers and don’t spoil the ending of Batman for those that haven’t seen it yet.
More Details About Future SWTOR Content
Posted 7/18/12 – Finally something positive posted about Star Wars The Old Republic regarding what the developers have planned for the future. We all already know about the newest companion, HK-51, that players will be able to pick up somewhere in the depths of Belsavis. This article from Digital Trends is a great read, but lengthy. It covers more about HK-51 as well as a new planet, Makeb, where players will be able to continue their adventures when the level cap is increased. When you have a few minutes, give this article a read.

First TSW Content Patch “Unleashed”
Posted 7/13/12 – Funcom will be providing players of The Secret World with its first content patch on July 31st (entitled “Unleashed”). The game has been getting glowing reviews so this patch isn’t to resolve the wailing of disgruntled, lamenting gamers (which is often the case in most games these days). Instead its part of Funcom’s practice to keep content fresh by providing monthly content updates. I think that is a pretty lofty claim but I hope they can pull it off successfully. Follow the link to read about what is coming at the end of the month.
