Issue 54: Hello Gamers! I hope all of you had a great Thanksgiving (if you celebrate that). As we all were indulging in turkey, mashed potatoes, cranberries and pumpkin pie Blizzard had just celebrated 8 years. It’s pretty amazing that even after 8 years Blizzard still has over 10 million subscribers.
Also, as you can see, there was no shortage of news as we were all treated to some Thanksgiving gifts in the form of Transformers beta invites, TSW news, more Age of Wushu content news, etc. So while we polish off the leftover turkey and before the tryptophan kicks in, check out the following headlines. TSW Issue #5 Already In Works
Posted 11/22/12 – Well, Funcom was pretty quiet for a while with The Secret World and then we get Issue #4 and the first raid. We are a little over a week since Issue #4 went live and they are already talking about Issue #5. The following link is a rather short post on Massively but it does a decent job at teasing TSW players as to what will come in Issue #5.

SWTOR Update 1.6 on PTS
Posted 11/21/12 – Right on the heels, and in accordance with their promise to release content faster, Bioware has added Game Update 1.6 to the public test servers. This patch, called Ancient Hypergate, will have some updates to the PvP aspect of the game as well as some much desired changes to space combat missions. I find the latter to be extremely interesting. Follow the link below to read more about what is available to test in patch 1.6.

Age Of Wushu Tangman School (w/Video)
Posted 11/21/12 – This game keeps taunting me more and more with each post unveiling new schools and videos. I am a big martial arts nut so I find this game very intriguing. This post demonstrates the Tangman school (i.e. class). There is another video to show off the Tangman and it does look pretty frakking sweet. New Mech Available: Cataphract
Posted 11/20/12 – Piranha Games decided to give its fans and players a 70-ton Thanksgiving gift. They have unveiled a new mech available for MechWarrior Online called the Cataphract. Unfortunately there isn’t any video associated with this announcement but the Joystiq link has some additional screenshots. It looks like, however, based on the comments that there are a couple of bugs to work out with this mech (the hitbox is a bit incorrect). Follow the links to read more about this new mech.

New Title! Age of Wushu Teaches How To Kidnap
Posted 11/17/12 – There isn’t an announcement associated with this post, just a game play video but I thought it was kind of cool. Apparently one of the tasks your character will have to perform is a kidnapping. The video in the Massively post shows you how you may go about kidnapping someone but it also shows some of the HUD and fight mechanics. I think the game actually looks kind of fun. I mean, who doesn’t want to run up the side of a building and fight on the rooftops all Ang Lee style! Follow the link to read more and watch the video, its worth it.

beta! Transformers Universe Beta Sign-Ups
Posted 11/17/12 – Jagex is calling on all Autobots and Decepticons to sign-up for the beta test of Transformers Universe. Yours truly has already put his name in the proverbial, Decepticon, hat. I don’t know if this game will necessarily be something I will play but I often enjoy doing a little beta testing, especially if there may not be an NDA and I can share it with all of you.
