Happy Halloween!!Issue 111: In the previous issue, if you were paying close attention, you may have noticed the letters “KCGO”. If you paid even closer attention you noticed the footnote that explained what those letters mean – Keep Calm and Game On. It’s a new tag I am trying out for my gaming posts, because if gaming is done right, its calming and everything is about “Keeping Calm” these days. It’s Halloween this week, so if you happen to have little gamers-in-the-making (aka kids) you are probably going out to trick-or-treat which has its own loot rewards. If you don’t have kids, and you’re not out participating in some wild Monster Mash, then you’re probably gaming (because … why not). In any event, I hope all of you have a safe and enjoyable Halloween, and perhaps the following news tidbits will enhance said enjoyment.

World of Speed (a racing game currently in beta) has given us all a glimpse at a car none of us will ever own, but it might make you drool. There is also expansion news for TERA, a milestone for Marvel Heroes and some more Warlords of Draenor expansion tidbits to satiate your WoD yearnings. I’ve also found a couple of non-PC related (and even something non-MMO) posts but they are, nonetheless, just as interesting. KCGO!

WARNING! Contains Car Porn!

Posted 10.23.14 – If you are into car porn, then the video for this post is far more interesting then the details. An upcoming title called World of Speed has added a new sports car for players to drive, and it will be the only place any of us will ever get to drive it. The McLaren F1, which sold at a Pebble Beach auction for a mere $8.47 million, will be featured in World of Speed, which is currently in beta and you can sign for for it at the website.

 TERA Getting First Expansion

Posted 10.24.14 – TERA is a title we haven’t heard much news about lately. Then suddenly, out of the blue, we get an expansion announcement. En Masse just unveiled TERA: Fate of Arun, which has all the traditional MMO expansion trimmings (i.e. increased level cap, news zones, yadda yadda yadda). there are videos and images to check out but no indication as to when this title will be released.

Marvel Heroes Adds 40th Hero

Posted 10.25.14 – A new playable character has been added to Marvel Heroes, which has become the 40th hero that players and choose from. Players can not play the unstoppable Juggernaut. I know you’re going to do the same thing I would do if I were to play Juggernaut … immediately quote the X-Men movie “I’m the Juggernaut, bitch!”. I love that line!

 WoW New Raid Lockouts Explanation

Posted 10.28.14 – I’ll admit that for whatever reason when Blizzard announced the restructuring of the raid lockouts, I might have been slightly confused. There are a lot of names that were thrown around … LFR, Flex, Normal, Heroic, Mythic … which one was which??! It turns out that there will only be four raid types: LFR, Flex Normal, Flex Heroic, and Mythic. Mythic raiding is probably the most interesting because it goes back to the old school raid IDs. Once you’re saved, you can’t kill a boss again once its been killed for the week, whether you were there or not. The following post on WoW Insider actually helps explain the lockouts and different raids types if you are still having brain farts.

FFXI Luring Players Back

Posted 10.29.14 – Final Fantasy XI is a title we haven’t heard about in a long time and its one I don’t think I have ever talked about. I never played any of the Final Fantasy games so I don’t find this all that tantalizing. The game is trying to lure players back to the game by offering various incentives and perks. The people in the comments don’t seem to be all that impressed with the promises. My information on the Final Fantasy series is a bit incomplete, I thought FFXI was one of the bad versions of the game?

 Dragon Age: Inquisition Pre-Downloading

Posted 10.29.14 – If you are excited for the next installment of the Dragon Age series, you can start downloading Dragon Age: Inquisition now, in full, on your XBox One … if you are one of the unfortunate sods to have purchased an XBox One. The post mentions that pre-downloading of the PC version from Origin should be available soon.

Because It’s Mario Kart

Posted 10.30.14 – So why did I include a post about Mario Kart, well as the caption says … because its Mario Kart. Mario Kart 8 just hit 3.5 million copies sold, which probably pretty much rescued the sales numbers for the Wii U. I’ll admit that MK8 makes me want to buy a Wii U just so I can play the game. The other cool thing to note in this post is the upcoming DLC that you will be able to purchase which includes some new trackers, racers and other goodies.
