Issue 53: Greetings Gamers! As you will see after the break, this has been a pretty busy week because it feels like everything (except the kitchen sink) is getting an update and, finally, the launch of the SWTOR Free-2-Play option and Update 1.5. I am surprised that the 5.1 update for Mists of Pandaria has not been released yet. It seems like it has been on the PTR forever!
If you are wondering, like me, when to expect the 5.1 patch for Mists of Pandaria, they are starting to publish Release Candidate builds to the PTR. This means that the builds they are compiling are nearly ready for live servers (my prediction is next week – Happy Thanksgiving!). In the meantime, check out the latest news regarding RIFT, EverQuest II, SWTOR, Aion and other exciting titles. Read on and game on, friends!

Age of Wushu Closed Beta Begins
Posted 11/15/12 – On the date of the post the upcoming martial arts MMO has entered closed beta and will last for the next 10 days. This is the game that has been endorsed by Jet Li and, strangely enough, beta invites are going to be provided to players who have not pre-ordered the game. I guess, in a way, that makes sense. The Secret World’s Issue #4
Posted 11/13/12 – It has been a while since we have had any updates for The Secret World. It looks like the wait may be worth it. In their next Issue, called “Big Trouble in the Big Apple“, the games first raid will become available and its in New York City. Players will also have access to the new auxiliary weapon (the chainsaw) and the revamped PvP system. Aion Bard Class Video
Posted 11/13/12 – One of the three new playable classes in Aion 4.0 is the Bard. This is a particularly peculiar class. I envisioned it being more of a healing class but the video in the link I provided shows otherwise. It looks like this is kind of a melee class with the best CC ever! Dancing penguins! RIFT: Storm Legion Launch Video
Posted 11/13/12 – If you are already playing the new RIFT expansion then you have probably already seen this video. If you haven’t decided if you are going to return to RIFT, perhaps this video will help you decide. Maybe you are just curious about the new expansion and really have no intention to play RIFT. More Updates For GW2 Lost Shores
Posted 11/12/12 – I didn’t talk about this in the last issue mainly because there weren’t a lot of posts about it but Guild Wars 2 is getting a content update coming over the course of two days (November 16-18). The update is called Lost Shores and it looks like they are introducing this new content through some world events that will be taking place on those days.
