I know it’s been over a week since Andor ended. This final post is coming late because there was a lot to process. By now I’m sure most sites have posted their comments and thoughts but I will do it anyway. The events of these three episodes lead right up to the beginning of Rogue One so it seems pointless to talk about the Easter Eggs.

These three episodes are amazing. It’s simply amazing television. It’s hard to believe this is Star Wars. The entire time I watched them I kept thinking “I can’t believe this is Star Wars”. I have enjoyed everything produced under the Star Wars mantle, but these three episodes are the best there is in the entire franchise.

I apologize for this late post. April was a very busy month. I’m sure some of the things I cover may have already been covered on other sites and social media platforms, but I’m going to cover them anyway.
It is a year after episode 3 and 3 years before Rogue One and A New Hope. The adult themes take another turn. Bix mentally struggles from having been tortured by Dr. Gorst and is seen taking a blue substance to help her sleep. Some viewers speculate this highly addictive substance is vutalamine (aka “vue”) which is used to treat anxiety and psychological illnesses.

Since we are getting episodes of Andor three at a time, these posts will cover all three and be titled based on their BBY dates. If you are unfamiliar with how dating works in Star Wars, everything is based on “Before Battle of Yavin” (i.e. before A New Hope). The first three episodes of Season 2 occur one year after Season 1 and four years before A New Hope/Rogue One.
I should warn you now that every post will contain spoilers, so I advise watching all three episodes before you continue reading.
We are less than a month away from the final season of Andor, and a new trailer has dropped. For the record, Andor was NOT cancelled. I’ve noticed people saying this on various social platforms, and it’s simply not true. Andor was only supposed to be two seasons per Tony Gilroy before the first season even aired. Be that as it may, here is the Andor Season 2 Final Trailer.
The first thing we notice is the music. While the first trailer featured “The Revolution Starts Now” by Steve Earle, this one features series composer Nicholas Britell‘s music. This trailer builds the intensity and drama of the season. We all know this leads up to the events of Rogue One and Cassian’s ultimate fate.
With less than 60 days before the premiere I knew we were due for a trailer soon. It’s finally here! The Andor Season 2 trailer!! Let’s take a look (maybe a few times).
There isn’t much to break down in this trailer but it looks pretty intense. It appears this season will have a unique release schedule. Instead of the typical one episode a week, it will be 3 episodes a week over four weeks. Every three episodes will jump ahead one year leading up to the beginning of Rogue One. The first three episodes will take place one year after Season 1.
Having Ben Mendelsohn back as Director Krennic is very exciting. It’s going to add a new level of drama to this series. I wonder if we will see Grand Moff Tarkin in one of these episodes. He is responsible for the Ghorman Massacre which led to Mon Mothma’s resignation from the Senate.
All right, time to go watch it again!
