I apologize for this late post. April was a very busy month. I’m sure some of the things I cover may have already been covered on other sites and social media platforms, but I’m going to cover them anyway.
It is a year after episode 3 and 3 years before Rogue One and A New Hope. The adult themes take another turn. Bix mentally struggles from having been tortured by Dr. Gorst and is seen taking a blue substance to help her sleep. Some viewers speculate this highly addictive substance is vutalamine (aka “vue”) which is used to treat anxiety and psychological illnesses.
A Massacre By Any Other Name
Let’s talk about Easter Eggs; starting with the massacre the people of Ghorman are often talking about. I’ve been referring to the Ghorman massacre since the Ghorman was first mentioned. Many may find it confusing as to what massacre the people of Ghorman are referring to if it’s not the “Ghorman massacre”.

In Legends, the Ghorman massacre occurs BBY 18 when Grand Moff Tarkin lands a spacecraft on a group of people gathered in Ghroman Square. In an episode of Rebels, Mon Mothma resigns from the Senate as a result of the Ghorman massacre, which occurs BBY 2. These two events are not the same. However, these episodes make the first massacre canon but rename it the “Tarkin Massacre”.
There are a couple of other things to note in these episodes. The planet D’Qar, where we see Saw Gerrera for the first time, is the same location used for the Resistance base in The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi.
Also, in case you missed it, Benjamin Bratt portrays Senator Bail Organa in the brief moment we saw him. Jimmy Smits previously held the role but he was unable to reprise the role because of scheduling conflicts. Tony Gilroy made every effort to try to get Jimmy back but they just couldn’t make it work.
