Title: From the Desert Comes A Stranger
Directed by: Dave Filoni
Runtime: 47 minutes
We are at the penultimate episode of season 1. I’m optimistic there will be multiple seasons of The Book of Boba Fett. The Pykes are feeling threatened and they are making it clear. Anyone that supports Boba Fett’s resistance will pay the consequences.
How do you follow Mando’s return??! Is there more Mando?? After last weeks amazing episode there are so many theories about this weeks episode. Will we see Luke? Grogu? Cad Bane? I can’t answer these questions for you right now. We need to that spoiler warning first!
The following content contains spoilers for The Book of Boba Fett S1E6.
Dave Filoni is the GOAT!
My hands are shaking. Dave Filoni has done it again. I’m feeling so many emotions right now I may have to take a mental health day to process this episode. I hope you have watched most, if not all, of The Clone Wars because that’s what got me leaping out of my chair. Literally.
The answers to the questions from the second paragraph above is YES! And more!
The episode even starts with the return of Cobb Vanth who immediately pisses off the Pykes. I’ll be honest, I didn’t think we would see Luke and Grogu in this episode, but I was not expecting Ahsoka and R2! The moment I saw R2’s periscope, I got chills; and I had chills for the next 40 minutes.
Luke training Grogu, Ahsoka talking about his father, calling herself “a friend of the family”. I couldn’t tell if the house was cold or I had continuous chills from this episode.
And Speaking of GOATs!
Even after all of that, I was NOT prepared for the final few moments of this episode! Fans were predicting a live-action Cad Bane for a few weeks and I just chalked it up to “wishful thinking”. The moment I saw that blurred profile in the desert, I was standing. I literally jumped out of my chair. I thought there is no way we are actually getting Cad Bane! The GOAT of Bounty Hunters! In fact, not only did we get Cad Bane, Corey Burton reprised the role as Cad Bane’s voice!!!
It also seems that even Cad Bane has added “hired gun” to his bounty hunting repertoire. I’m not convinced that Cobb Vanth is dead (but his deputy certainly is!) Also, did Max survive this explosion as well? Actually, did we even see Max prior to the Pyke’s hasty exit?
The final episode of the season is next week! I said in the previous post, the final two episodes were going to be big. So far, I’m not wrong!
