Every night, shepherd George Hardy reads mystery and detective novels to his herd of assorted sheep. When the shepherd turns up dead, the sheep use what they’ve learned from the books to find his murderer.
This isn’t a movie I was rushing out to see, but my daughter really wanted to, so we made it a family event. This movie surprised me. I was not expecting it to be as good as it was. I recommend checking it out.
Iconic Voice Cast
This is a huge cast, but most of the big names are all voice actors. Brett Goldstein got his start as a writer, and I was expecting that he might also be a writer for this movie. However, he was just a voice cast for the twin sheep. Other voice actors include Regina Hall, Chris O’Dowd (from The IT Crowd), Bryan Cranston (aka Walter White), Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Bella Ramsey (she was in The Last of Us).
The writing is really well done, which is why I thought perhaps Brett Goldstein was involved. I do think there is a way to figure out who the killer is before the revelation. I’d like to watch it again to look for additional hints (other than the one provided in the movie trivia).
I’m not sure when this film will be available for streaming, but it is an Amazon production, so it’s likely to appear on Prime soon.

“The screen is a magic medium. It has such power that it can retain interest as it conveys emotions and moods that no other art form can hope to tackle.”
